GuardHer is a free panic button app made for South African women: runners, students, and anyone taking an Uber, Bolt or taxi. Hold one button for a second and your trusted contacts get a WhatsApp message with your live location on Google Maps, the date and time. That's all you need to do.

How the panic button works

  • Add at least 3 trusted contacts: family, friends or a partner.
  • In an emergency, hold the SOS button for 1 second.
  • Each contact gets a WhatsApp alert with a map link to where you are.
  • Your location keeps updating every 2 minutes until you end the SOS.
  • No data? GuardHer switches to a normal SMS.

Made for South African situations

Rideshare rides: if a trip feels wrong, one hold alerts your people with where the car is. Early-morning runs: Silent SOS (tap the logo 5 times) sends an alert without anyone noticing. Panic mode: big one-tap buttons to call SAPS on 10111, call a contact, or share your location.
