GuardHer sends alerts to the people you choose. It does not contact the police, an ambulance or any private security company on your behalf, and nobody at GuardHer monitors your alerts. In immediate danger, call 10111 or 112 first.

Alerts depend on your phone, your battery, your network signal, your data or airtime, GPS accuracy and services such as WhatsApp. Any of these can fail. We cannot promise that an alert will be sent, received, read or acted on, and we are not liable for any loss, injury or damage arising from a message that does not arrive or arrives late.

• Save at least three trusted contacts and check that their numbers are correct.
• Tell those people they are your emergency contacts and what to do if they receive an alert.
• Allow location access so your alerts include where you are.
• Test the app occasionally so you know how it behaves.
• Use SOS only for genuine safety concerns — false alarms waste the time of people who care about you.

Do not use GuardHer to harass, stalk or frighten anyone, to send unlawful content, or to interfere with the app or its servers. We may block access where the app is misused.

Our handling of your information is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

The app is provided "as is". We may update, suspend or discontinue features at any time, and we may amend these terms. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

To the fullest extent allowed by South African law, MphoNet's liability arising from your use of GuardHer is limited to nil, as the app is supplied free of charge. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act that cannot lawfully be limited.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
